PARIS PHOTO, die internationale Messe für das Medium Fotografie, lockte fast 70.000 Besucher in das Grand Palais in Paris. Vom 7. bis 11. November war die Ausstellungshalle aus dem Jahr 1900 Treffpunkt für Künstler, Institutionen, Privatsammler, Profifotografen und anspruchsvolle Fotoliebhaber. Die Messe präsentierte 199 Galerien mit den Arbeiten von 300 Foto-Künstlern aus über 30 Ländern. 31 Verlage zeigten ihre Fach-Publikationen.

Die Podiumsgespräche und die Künstlergespräche waren ebenfalls ein großer Erfolg und präsentierten renommierte Künstler und Kuratoren, darunter Daido Moriyama, Diane Dufour, Joan Lyons, Simon Baker, Antoine d’Agata, David Campany, Noémie Goudal, Roxan Marcoci, Drew Sawyer, Laure Prouvost.

Zahlreiche Fotografen signierten auf der PARIS PHOTO ihre Bücher und nahmen am reichhaltigen Vortragsprogramm teil, unter anderem William Klein, Joel Meyerowitz, JR, Daido Moriyama, Harry Gruyaert, Antoine d’Agatha, Sophie Calle, Raymond Depardon, Franck Horvat, Sarah Moon, Sabine Weiss, Sebastia Salgado und James Nachtweiy.
